Learn How to Optimize Local Search: Webinar

Article Outline

If you market for a brick-and-mortar business you probably know “local search” is a growing opportunity, especially if your demographic is smart phone users: 20 percent of desktop queries have a local intent, while 50 percent of mobile ones do. Local searchers are often people with money to spend, looking for the closest outlet for something they want right now, or a phone number so they can call to check your stock. Or they want directions. All good.

You probably also know that local search is different from global across the board, in organic optimization, paid search and social media marketing efforts. Search engine platforms (Google, Yahoo, Bing) and service platforms (Yelp and Citysearch) manage local differently from global – and differently from each other. When you drill down, local turns out to have many layers and much complexity.

If local traffic matters to you (and it does to most of us), you risk losing potential business if you don’t learn the newest ways to optimize for local search.
